Nigger! is an absurdist satire in which the pains and joys of Blackness are inflicted upon the audience.
after the show premiered in Durham, NC on February 23, 2019 to a sold out audience, selected scenes were presented in Greensboro, NC at the Center for Visual Artists as a part of their ‘You A Wonder’ exhibit.
Nigger! continued it’s 2019 run as an ‘examination of otherness.’ it was presented at the Black Theatre Network Conference in Winston-Salem, NC, and as a workshop performance entitled ‘The N-Word’ at the National Black Theatre Festival.
Nigger! at the Center for Visual Artists consisted of an open rehearsal and a presentation of selected scenes & field research.
