‘Exploring Language With Shakespeare’ is a course intended to make Shakespeare’s works more accessible. By emphasizing and exploring the personal vernaculars of participants, ‘Exploring Language With Shakespeare’ provides tools for deciphering Shakespearean texts and other challenging literary works. In this course, participants will be putting a Shakespearean monologue in their own words using all of the colloquialisms, metaphors, similes, rhythms, and idioms present in their own personal vernaculars.
